Billerica Town Center

Billerica is situated on a Praying Indian village named Shawshin or Shawsheen, thus giving the name to the Shawsheen River. Its oldest remaining homestead is Manning Manse, the residence of William Manning, the author of "The Key of Libberty." Its other notable resident was Asa Pollard, the first soldier killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Today, Billerica is only a short 30 minutes drive to Boston and the Logan Airport.
